Roller Shades — questions

What is the difference between solar screen and blackout roller shades?

Solar screen fabric is woven with a small openness so you can see out while it cuts glare and heat. Blackout fabric is opaque and darkens the room. Many clients choose a double roller to have both.

Can roller shades go on floor-to-ceiling windows?

Yes. We measure each panel and recommend fabric widths and brackets so large condo windows roll evenly.

Will roller shades fully darken my bedroom?

Blackout fabric blocks light through the shade. To stop light at the edges, add side channels or layer with blackout drapery.
